RedEye’s looking for a social media intern!

Is that you? We’re hiring a full-time social media intern to help us out with our general social media adventurelands — Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr, Instagram and more. Here’s what you need to have (and do):

Qualifications:
-Some past social media experience with a publication or a brand
-Preferably a background in journalism or writing
-Familiarity with social media tracking tools
-Skilled in copyediting

What you’ll be doing:
-Manning several of our social media feeds in the early morning and afternoon hours.
-Developing and executing at least one long-term project, to be completed by the end of your term.
-Attending daily editorial meetings, working with RedEye staff to collaborate on editorial projects for print and online.

The gig:
-24 hours per week
-Paid
-Short-term (3 months)
-Starts April 8
-Located downtown Chicago
